“Tourism is the issue of both social and cultural subjects and economic functions will be fulfilled through this industry”, said Dr. Moonesan in the opening ceremony of 13th International Tourism Fair and 33rd National Handicrafts Exhibition.

“Culture is an important part, and in the case of not paying attention it won’t be transferred properly and will be destroyed. Tourism will introduce cultures and cultural boom, it also cause Human achievements to be upgraded, which are tangible and intangible heritage. To my point of view, before any economical perspective, Tourism must have humanity and cultural perspective.” he added.

Whenever Tourism exists, government of those nations have proper relations too, because Tourism is more than economy and have social and cultural dimensions.

According to him, World Tourism Organization pay special attention to sustainable development and he also said that his ministry will do its best effort to use Tourism as a tool to introduce ancient civilization of the country and important cultural issues. “beside that, economical dimensions and employment will be created which are very important.” Said Monesan.

He mentioned recent events in Iran: “Sometimes we see some incidence too which may influence Tourism industry, but according to our nation experience such as war, we can pass these too.”
“Some issues like Ukrainian plane accident is so hard for us all, however, by considering your effort, we are sure that Tourism process will be continuous. That is because we do have
attractions for foreign tourists. We also owned various climate, kind and hospitable people which are playing an important role in this industry."
