Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Health Minister Bahram Einollahi has expressed Iran’s readiness to facilitate health tourism with Qatar.
Speaking in a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari which was held on the sidelines of the Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare in Doha on Sunday, Einollahi stressed regional cooperation to fight diseases.
“We can help many countries in the region in the field of infectious diseases,” he added.
He also noted that Iranian universities and faculties of medical sciences are ready to cooperate with Qatar in scientific, research, and educational fields.
Cooperation can be strengthened in the field of health tourism, exchange of professors and students, health measures, and fighting diseases, Einollahi said.
Meanwhile, Al Kuwari expressed Qatar’s readiness to expand regional and joint cooperation with Iran in the field of health.
The exchange of professors of medical sciences between the two countries leads to the promotion of public health and medical knowledge, she added.
She also stressed facilitating health tourism between the two sides.
