TEHRAN – Iran is set to highlight arrays of tourism tressures at a show to be held in the Iraqi city of Sulaymaniyah in late September.
Tourism achievements, capabilities, and potentials of western Iran will be showcased at the Sulaymaniyah Expo, as part of a roadshow, Kordestan province’s official in charge of tourism announced during a coordination meeting held on Wednesday.
“In line with the ministry’s policies to promote tourism in the western provinces,” Arman Vatan-Doust further elaborated. “Kordestan, Kermanshah, and Hamadan will participate in the event scheduled to open doors in late September.”
The official also mentioned the numerous commonalities between the western provinces of Iran and Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah, which provide strong opportunities for increased synergy and collaboration in the tourism sector. The significant tourism capacities in western Iran, he underscored, require special attention.
“The powerful and prominent presence of our region in this exhibition could mark a pivotal point in the growth and development of the western tourism route, further elevating the international reputation of our hospitable land…,” Vatan-Doust noted.
In his final words the official expressed optimism that with strategic planning and coordination between the public and private sectors, the region can effectively showcase its tourism potential at the exhibition.
The meeting also saw participation of tourism officials from Kermanshah, and Hamadan provinces, along with private sector representatives, expressing their readiness to cooperate in all aspects of the exhibition.
